About the WMB Project
What is the WMB Project?
The Women’s Micro-Business (WMB) Project is a free initiative designed to empower women to start and grow their small businesses. Whether exploring an initial business idea, or looking for guidance with an existing one, the WMB Project offers personalised support, information, and resources to help individuals succeed.
Who can access the Project?
The WMB Project is open to women aged 30+ living in Wyndham and surrounding areas. The initiative is aimed at those starting to explore business ideas or already running small businesses but struggling to find direction. The project supports the journey toward financial independence, offering tailored guidance to help overcome challenges and move forward with confidence.
The focus is on connecting participants with the community, providing mentorship, and helping navigate the business landscape. The project also strives to create a supportive network of like-minded women to share experiences, resources, and success stories, all within a nurturing environment.
Strengthening connections
The WMB Project offers more than just business advice—it provides a complete support system.
Participants have access to personalised mentorship, practical training sessions, and valuable networking opportunities with like-minded women.
Whether attending scheduled workshops or simply dropping by The Hub, this is a welcoming space designed to help women build their businesses, connect with peers, and gain confidence.

What will women get from the WMB Project?
The WMB Project believes in the power of connection, information, and support. Here’s what participants can expect:
• Support: Personalised guidance and mentoring to navigate the business world, whether just starting or seeking to grow.
• Inform: Access to valuable resources and expert knowledge on business setup, legal requirements, insurance, and more.
• Connect: A community of like-minded women to share ideas, challenges, and successes, creating long-term networks that support the business journey.
Ultimately, the WMB Project operates as a two-way street, with experiences enriched through engagement and commitment. The more invested in the program, the greater the gains in knowledge, connections, and support to shape the journey toward success.
Supporting the WMB Project
Local businesswomen interested in giving back to the community can find valuable opportunities within the WMB Project.
Volunteer mentors can share success stories, provide support and encouragement, and offer expertise to women starting or growing their businesses.
Additionally, there are opportunities to deliver training sessions, empowering women with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in their business journeys. This initiative focuses on supporting, informing, and connecting women in business.
